Pistes. Journal for contemporary philosophy

Pistes is a peer-reviewed academic journal pertaining to contemporary philosophy, open to all traditions. It published thematics issues which may include varia. The journal is a platform for the promotion of marginal and thought-provoking subjects, rather than well-established lines of research. In other words, it is distinctively committed to encouraging relatively new subjects which prove to be fruitful for the reconfiguration of existing debates. The journal’s specific stance is thus to contribute to the opening up of philosophically rich but largely uncovered fields by promoting authors, notions, issues and debates that are frequently neglected by French-language philosophy and beyond. This approach naturally includes the possibility of integrating philosophy into interdisciplinary work with other humanities as well as social and natural sciences.

Pistes is now published twice a year by Vrin (https://www.vrin.fr/collection/pistes) and shall soon be available in electronic format on CAIRN. It launches two calls for an issue project per year and also accepts real-time proposals. In addition to thematic issues, the journal accepts papers to be published as varia in its section « Hors pistes ».

The review is published once a year by Vrin.
